Stored Value applications run on a wide variety of credit card terminals. However, not all terminal models are capable of running both credit card and gift card applications together. For maximum transaction speed, the trend is IP. New terminals from VeriFone provide both credit card and gift card processing via DSL or Ethernet IP connection.

Web-Based Virtual Terminal
Turns any PC with a web browser into a fully functional gift and loyalty card transaction processor. An inexpensive USB magnetic stripe reader may be attached so that gift cards may be swiped for speed and accuracy of card number input.

PC Charge (Windows OS)
Runs on most Windows-based PCs and POS systems. Can process both credit card and gift card transactions via dial up or IP connection (versions 5.6.3 or later).
